W. Jeanne St. Clair, 87, of Parsons, Kansas, died at 1:40 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas.

She was born December 9, 1920, in Iola, Kansas, the youngest of twelve children, to Richard Carl and Olive Jeanette (Chalfant) Burgess.

As a young girl, she grew up in Iola where she attended schools and graduated from Iola High School.

She and Charles Lee St. Clair were married May 24, 1941, in Nevada, Missouri. He preceded her in death July 18, 1975.

In 1965, she moved to Parsons where she had lived since.

For a time, she worked as an Avon sales representative.

For over 20 years, she was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed crafts, playing cards, fishing and attending activities at the Sr. Citizen Center.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and in younger years, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Survivors include, one son, Gary St. Clair and wife, Michelle of Parsons, KS; one daughter, Gloria Alexander and husband, Tom, of Branson, MO; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held August 8, 2008, at Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or to the American Diabetes Association.
