Violette I. Williams of Kansas City died Dec. 29 at the Baptist Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams, sister of Mrs. Joe (Della) Boyer and Carl Burgess, both of Iola, grew up in Iola and attended the Iola schools. She moved to Kansas City in 1943.
She married Lloyd Atchison in 1939. He died in 1967. She later married J.C. Williams. He died in 1983.
Besides Mrs. Boyer and Burgess, she is survived by a son, John A. Atchison of Norman, Okla., and four other sisters, Sara Holt and Bonnie Cleveland, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jeanne St. Clair, Parsons, and Fern Cleveland, Kansas City.
The funeral was Jan. 3 in Mount Moriah Chapel in Kansas City. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
