Mrs. Baird celebrated her 101st Birthday on June 7, 2008 with her family and caregivers. She was born June 7, 1907 in Delphi, Indiana. She dedicated herself to raising her family and creating a warm and comfortable home.
Mrs. Baird was married for seventy years to Merton Nelson Baird, and her preceded her in death on January 28, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a son Merton D. Baird, who passed away on November 7, 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Jon) Bordner of Old Lyme, Connecticut;daughter-in-law, Shirley Baird; five grandchildren, Alan Baird, Kathy FitzPatrick, Kimberly Bordner, Jamie Bordner and Lesley Vitale; and one great grand-daughter, Julia FitzPatrick.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. July 10, 2008 in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008 in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort, Indiana.
