Julia Dittrick immigrated to America from Austria with her parents when she was 10 years of age. She had been born in Friedland, Moravia, Austria [now a part of Ukraine] in July, 1864, and entered the United States prior to July of 1876. Her parents settled in Nebraska, which is where she would marry John C. Hall, an emigrant from the North Sea region, Isle of Raegan, [later changed to Germany or Prussia] (Isle of Raegan not found on Google). The couple married in Nebraska in 1885 and at least two children were born during their marriage; John C. Hall, Jr. was born in May, 1885 and Elizabeth was born Apr 2, 1887. The family was living in Leigh, Colfax Co., Nebraska in 1887 but moved to Battle Creek Village, Madison Co., NE., when the 1900 U S Census was taken, then to Verdigre, Knox County, NE., when the 1910 U S Census was taken. The family came to Oregon in 1912. Elizabeth would marry twice -- 1st to someone named Wilson, as she returned to the family home in 1930, at Fairmount, Benton Co., Oregon, where her parents had a truck and fruit farm, and she was listed on the 1930 U S Census as Elizabeth Wilson, "daughter", age 40, and "widow." Julia would not live to see her daughter remarry, as she died Dec 27th, 1932 and was laid to rest at the Masonic Cemetery in Albany, Linn County, Oregon. Her husband, John, would die almost 10 yrs. later of stomach cancer, on June 7th, 1942 and be buried next to her at the Masonic Cemetery in Albany, Linn County, Oregon, where they share a headstone. Elizabeth married Frank Ackerman in 1940 and they had a florist shop until she became too disabled. She died on Sep 7th, 1960 and was laid to rest at the Masonic Cemetery under the name Elizabeth Hall Ackerman. May they all Rest in Peace.
