Orville's obituary was published in the Lebanon Reporter (Lebanon, IN):

"Orville E. Rice, 94, was retired farmer - Orville E. Rice of Route 1, Thorntown, a retired Boone County farmer, died Sunday at the English Nursing Home. He had been in failing health the past year.
Rice, who was 94, had farmed most of his life, living the majority of his life in the Thorntown-Dover area. He was a member and deacon of the Dover Christian Church and also a member of Modern Woodmen and Boone County Farm Bureau.
He was the last of a family of 11 children. He was born in Boone County June 7, 1891, as a son of Marion and Mary Elizabeth (Lapham) Rice. He was married Dec. 20, 1911 to Grace White, who survives.
In addition to the wife, he leaves sons Haven of Route 2, Jamestown; Harold, Route 2, Thorntown; Keith, Venice Fla., and Kemper Rice of Knightstown. He also is survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services are arranged for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Russell and Hitch Funeral Home in Thorntown with the Rev. Raymond Duff and the Rev. Gerald Holdman officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Thorntown Funeral Home starting 3:30 p.m. Tuesday."

"Orville Rice - THORNTOWN - Orville E. Rice, 94, of Rt. 1, Thorntown, died Sunday afternoon in the English Nursing Home at Lebanon. He had been in failing health for the past year.
