Fred Baldridge Is Dead at 80
Fred George Baldridge, 80, died yesterday in his home, 514 N. College.
Born at Greenfork, in Wayne County, Mr. Baldridge had lived in Indianapolis 40 years. He was a blacksmith and had worked 10 years for the Indiana State Highway Department, retiring seven years ago. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Services will be at 8:40 a.m. Saturday in the Grinsteiner Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Survivors are the widow, Mabel Baldridge; six sons, Wayne, Max, James, Theodore, and Donald Baldridge, Indianapolis, and Frank Baldridge, Helmsburg; two daughters, June Grove and Mary Olmsted, and a stepson, Carl Mathis, Indianapolis, 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
