Euceba was born in Genesee County, New York and raised in Cattaraugus County, New York. She is the daughter of John Riley Armes and Catherine Rhoades.
Euceba was married three times. First to Henry Ellery Babcock about 1850 in Cattaraugus County New York. They divorced 11 Nov 1858 in Prairie Du Chien, Crawford, Wisconsin. She returned to Cattaraugus County for a while and after correspondence with Sylvanus Allen she moved to Jackson County, Minnesota and they were married 25 Dec 1866. When Sylvanus passed away she married John Henry Johnson 14 July 1877 in Jackson County, Minnesota.
Euceba passed away in Jackson County, Minnesota and is buried there in the Loon Lake Cemetery. The John Armes family has a headstone in Cattaraugus County, New York that has Euceba's name on it but she is not buried there.

She is the mother of seven children:
