Funeral services for Fred Borkhardt at Moline, brother of Mrs. Diana Erwin,600 West Market Street,were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, in Wendt Brothers Funeral Home, Moline, with the Rev. Charles Hollis, pastor of Moline Gospel Temple officiating. Burial was ,in Greenview Memorial Park, Moline.
The 16 year old youth died Tuesday, in Molina Public Hospital from injuries he had received three hours earlier,in an automobile accident which clamed the life of a 14 year old boy.
Lewis Borkhardt,father of the youth collapsed at the scene of the fatal accident and was treated at Moline Public Hospital.
The youth was born September,15,1959, at Moline,Il. Son of Mr and Mrs. Louis Borkhardt. He had been employed at a rent-a-car agency at the Quad City Airport.
Surviving are his parents: five brothers, Jerry and Stanley,at home;Richard, Decatur; Gary, Supulpa,Okla; Terry, Beggs, Okla; three sister, Mrs. Kay Mendenhall, Hermiston,Ore; Mrs. Diana Erwin, Taylorville,Il. and Lorna at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Strode, Glasgow,Ky.
