Loyd M. Clements, 75, of Kilgore passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, in Kilgore.
Memorial service: At a later date. Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore provided cremation arrangements.
Mr. Clements was born June 10, 1932, son of the late Raymond and Jewel Clements. He moved to Fort Worth in 1957 after serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Clements went to work as an interior decorator for Ted Roos and Associates. During this time, Loyd became an active member of Central Christian Church in Fort Worth. In 1963 he and Glenn Swann bought Weldonâ's Florist and Antiques. After many years they sold the business due to loss of interest and went to work for another florist. In 1996 after retiring, Loyd and his partner moved to Kilgore. He was diagnosed with cancer in March 2008 and lost his battle in May. All who knew him will miss Loyd.
Survivors: Brother, Louis Clements of Edmond, Okla.; sisters, Helen Holmes of Dundee, Billie Wallace of Oklahoma City, Okla., Delma Alexander of Plainview, Jeanette Miller of Okmulgee, Okla., and Annette Castor of Mustang, Okla.; his life partner, Glenn Swann of Kilgore; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
