On September 17, 1882, he was married to Mary Anna McCanne and to this union were born thirteen children. Some died in infancy, others lived to maturity and passed to the great beyond. After his marriage he moved to Paradise, Texas, where they remained about five years. In 1906 they moved to Oregon City, Oregon; thence to Portland, and then to Eugene. In 1917 he moved with his family to Hermiston, Oregon, where he made his home until called in death.
