Dora is the sister of my g-grandfather
Aldora Meeks was born February 23, 1881, at Mena, Ark. to Lindsey and Renda Meeks.
She was married October 1, 1905, to J.C. Walker at Merkel, TX. They moved to
this area in 1924, residing on a farm south of Carnegie until they moved to town
in 1933. She died May 21, 1968 in the Carnegie hospital.
She was the mother of one son, L.E. Walker, Carnegie; four daughters, Mrs. Louis
(Iroma) Mapp, Carnegie, Mrs. Gene (Leana) Barngrover of Phoenix, Mrs. Claudia
Green and Mrs. Hershel (Gracie) Cooper, both of Salinas, CA.
Sister to Mrs. Josie Hester of Knox City, TX.
