Frances Mildred Solomon, 90, of Moss Point, Miss., went to be with her Savior April 28, 2008. She was born in Bowie, Texas, on Oct. 15, 1917, and lived most of her life in California. She moved to Moss Point 11 years ago. Frances lived her life as a faithful servant of her Lord and was a member of the First Baptst Church of Moss Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Sarah Frye; sisters, Mary Hager, Pat Joyce, Margaret Easley, and brother Jack Frye; and her husband, Marland Solomon.

She is survived by sisters, Pauline Hill of Elk City, Okla. and Pearl Rogers, Malvern, Ark.; brother, Bill (Jean) Frye of Dumas, Texas; and daughters, Joye (Archie) White of Sacramento, Calif., Jan (Bob) Hoobyar of Moss Point, and Jan (Bud) Grantham of Moss Point; grand children, Ron White of Sacramento, Renei (Chip) Harwood of Little Rock, Ark., Karen White of Sacramento, Andy (Karen) Taggart of Madison, Miss., Jon (Loleta) Taggart of Moss Point, Jim (Sharon) Taggart of Moss Point, Dan (Lillian) Hoobyar of Philadelphia, Pa., Lori (terry) Hyde of New
Braunfels, Texas; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at First Baptist Church of Moss Point on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. followed by the graveside service at Griffin Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bobby Perry officiating.

Heritage Funeral Home, Escatawpa, Miss., locally owned and operated is in charge of arrangements.
