Anna Catherine "Kate" Snyder was the daughter of John Snyder and Hannah Feuring. She married Charles Frederick Hofman on 11 Sep 1854 at Bucyrus, Crawford County, Ohio. Between 1880 and early 1892, they moved to Houston, Harris County, Texas.

Charles and Kate had three daughters... Ida Kate, Anna, and May. They had three sons... Rob Roy, Jay, and Harry.
