Ella was a small, beautiful, soft spoken, gentle person with perfect self control and a kind sense of humor. She often helped the sick of the community for no charge, having had a little training in nursing skills. While living in the country she performed midwife service. Deeply religious, she joined the LDS church at age 19, with her family, and soon after married. She moved often due to her husband's work and the company provided the house for them. She always planted flowers and made it as neat and pretty as possible. Soon after they moved to California she died of pneumonia at age 50.
