William Sidney Hawkins, 73, brother of Mrs. Mary McClellan of Greenville, died Tuesday of a heart attack in his home in Beulah.

Services for Mr. Hawkins have been set for Thursday at 2 p.m. at Thweat Funeral Home in Cleveland with burial in the Beulah Cemetery.

Mr. Hawkins, a farmer and cattleman in Beulah since 1924, moved to Beulah after living in Cleveland, Shaw, and Benoit. He was a member of the Merigold Hunting Club, the Bolivar County Conservation League, the Mississippi Cattlemen's Association, and the Bolivar County Citizens Council.

He leaves his stepmother, Mrs. Millie Hawkins of Winona; five sons, J. S. Hawkins of Beulah, Claude Romine Hawkins of Chicago, William Gerald Hawkins of Columbus, Ind.; Orlanda Lee Hawkins of Saigon, Curtis Winfield Hawkins of Houston, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Joseph of Perthshire; Mrs. Miriam Kathleen White of Memphis, Mrs. Clara Jean Steen of Bowling Green, Ky., and Mrs. Naomi Lollar of Columbus.

Four brothers, T. H. Hawkins of Itta Bena and Clifford Hawkins, Hester Hawkins, and Lester Hawkins of Winona; six sisters, Mrs. McClellan, Mrs. Dovie Brassell of Winona, Mrs. Jesse Wooton of Chicago, Mrs. Dorothy King of Pascagoula, and Mrs. Alice Adams and Mrs. Eva Adams of Winona; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
