(Cambria County Deed Book 3, page 30).

In the year 1822; Clearfield Township was formed from the Northern part of Allegheny Township. In 1825, Allegheny Township was further reduced in size by the creation of Susquehanna Township from the Western part of Allegheny Township.

On April 12th 1827 the 100 acres had been reduced to 86 acres when Peter Eckenrode Jr.(4) sold 14 acres to Hugh Uhl (Deed Book 3, page 340) and on 15th of August 1837 to 85 acres when he sold 1 acre to his brother-in-law, Joseph Buck (Deed Book 5, page 152).
