LOCAL COUPLE CALLED BY MOTHER'S ILLNESS
Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Talley, 2649 11th street left Tuesday night for Austin where they were called by the critical illness of Mr. Talley's mother, Mrs. M. D. Talley. Mrs. Talley, who is 90 years old, suffered a paralytic stroke late Tuesday. Little hope is held for her recovery.

Is Laid To Rest
LULING, Feb. 6.-Mrs. Martha Fields Talley, 89, mother of R. F. Talley of Port Arthur, was buried in McNeil cemetery here Sunday after rites in the Peirce funeral chapel. Widow of R. J. Talley, she died Saturday at the home of a daughter in Pflugerville. Surviving are five children, five stepchildren, 39 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
