Long Illness Fatal to Resident of Sweetwater for 31 Years
Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie Kinsey, 63, were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. G. T. Palmer, pastor, officiating, with the assistance of Rev. Sam Young, presiding elder of the Sweetwater district. Interment followed in the Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of Yates Funeral Home. She was buried by the side of her husband, who died seven years ago.
Mrs. Kinsey had been in ill health for a long time. Death came at 5:30 Monday afternoon in the Sweetwater Hospital.
A resident of Sweetwater for 31 years, she was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Eastern Star Chapter and the Daughters of the Confederacy.
She is survived by three sons, Kirby Kinsey of Sweetwater, Homer Gwyn of Bushland and Roy Gwyn of San Antonio; and six grandchildren, two of whom live here, Karen and Wanda Kinsey.
Pallbearers included Jim Butler, Judge A. S. Mauzey, Sam Parker, A. G. Lee, Raymond Bishop and Marshall Morgan.
