Miss Margaret McGoey died Monday morning at 8:30 at the McGoey homestead on the Ridge, in this town, aged 77 years. She was in her usual good health until Sunday morning at 11 o'clock when she was stricken with paralysis while performing her household duties. She failed rapidly from that time. Miss McGoey's parents were among the early settlers of the town of Oswegatchie, and for many years after their death, she and her brother carried on the farm. She was a woman of sterling Christian virtues and was respected by all who knew her. She leaves a sister, Mary, and two brothers, John and James. The funeral will be held from St. Mary's cathedral Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock.
