Former Iowa City Man Dies in Council Bluffs; Laid to Rest Here Today
William S. Boarts was laid to rest this afternoon in Oakland cemetery.
The decedent, as noted herein last evening, passed away Tuesday at his late home in Council Bluffs, after an illness of 2½ years, at the age of 67.
Surviving are his widow and a son and two daughters.
Mr. Boarts was an efficient bricklayer of industrious habits. He was one of the fathers of the Brick Layers’ Union No. 18, and the local members attended in a body. The funeral took place from Schneider Bros; undertaking apartments.
