The news of Mrs. Rabenau's death was a great shock to her friends. Mrs. Raenau had been in delicate health for some time and Mr. Rabenau accompanied her to the Hahnemann Hospital. Chicago, where she underwent an operation which revealed the presence of a large tumor. Mrs. Rabenau never recovered from this and her death occurred March 27, 1907. Mr. Rabenau brought the body back here Thursday morning and the funeral was held at the family residence Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. Although Mr. and Mrs. Rabenau have lived here but a few years they made many friends who deeply sympathize with Mr. Rabenau and sons, Fred and Carl, in their sad Bereavement.
