Burnetta "Nettie" Tischauser, age 71, of N9110 Pagel Road, Iola, WI, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at her residence.
The former Burnetta Jane Adams was born December 20, 1936, at Big Falls, WI, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Sadie (Krohn) Adams. Following graduation from Marion High School, Nettie was united in marriage to Roy Tischauser, on September 4, 1954, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Big Falls, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2004. The couple lived in Appleton, WI from 1954 to 1989, when they moved to the Big Falls area. Nettie worked for a time at the Appleton school lunch program, at an elementary school, and also at the Iola Nursing Home. Nettie was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Big Falls, and was very active in church activities. She will be remembered for her invention of "Santa Mouse" Christmas ornaments, made of walnuts, which she made thousands of them over a ten year period. Nettie loved fishing, and was a avid fisherman, enjoyed Little Falls Loggers baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers, and 'Maverick', the dog. She also will be remembered for being able to "Laugh at Her Self" in good fun.

Survivors include her husband, Roy, 2 daughters and 2 sons . There are six grandchildren, and three sisters. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Kermit Adams.

Funeral services will be held Fiday, April 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Big Falls. Rev. Jeffery Smiles will officiate. Burial will be in the Big Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. at the BeiL-Didier Funeral Home, Marion, and Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, or Theda Care Hospice. The family wishes to thank Theda Care Hospice for their care and help.
