Mrs. Clarence (Sadie) Ruppenthal, 72, of Big Falls, died suddenly at her home, Saturday, September 13.
The former Sadie A. Krohn was born June 4, 1908 in the town of Wyoming, the daughter of the late Robert and Louise Krohn.
She was married to Art A. Adams on September 2, 1927 in the town of Wyoming. They owned and operated Adams IGA Store for 13 years. Mr. Adams preceded her in death in November, 1961. She married Clarence Ruppenthal in June 1964 in the town of Dupont and had lived all of her life in the Big Falls area.
Mrs. Ruppenthal was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Big Falls, and was a charter member of the American Lutheran Chruch Women.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence; one son, Kermit Adams, Marion; 4 daughters, 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Harvey Krohn, Antigo; Ervin Krohn, Rt. 1, Marion; Cecil Krohn, Big Falls, and one sister, Mrs. Cora Russart, Sussex. One brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran church, Big Falls, with the Rev. William R. Lavann officiating. Burial was in the Big Falls cemetery.
Arrangements were in charge of Heuer, Sievers, Rhodes and Beil Funeral Home, Marion.
