Homer Parks of Cassville died Monday, March 27, 1961, at 3 p. m. at the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient at the hospital for one day and had been ill for about four weeks. He was born August 10, 1909, at Mapleton Depot, R. D., a son of Henry and Cora (Stake) Parks. He was married to Virginia Eva Cave on September 26, 1926. His wife survives along with the following children: Homer Parks, Jr., of Aitch, R. D., Robert Cook in the Merchant Marines, and Mary, Robert, Martha, Arthur, Betty and Vera, all at home. There are two grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brother and sisters: Mrs. Ada Whitsel of Mount Union, Mrs. Martha Blair of Aitch, R. D., Mrs. Alma Guyer and Harry Parks of Robertsdale. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday from the McClain funeral home at Cassville. The Rev. Earl Booth will officiate. Interment will be made in the Cassville IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral, home after 2 p. m. on Wednesday until the hour for the services on Thursday.
