Henry Parks died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Todd Township on Sunday morning, February 16, 1941. At the time of death, he was aged 72y 3m and 16d. Born in Smith Valley on October 30, 1867, he was a son of Simeon and Sallie (Black) Parks, his wife, Cora (Stake) Parks, preceded him in death.

Surviving are the following children, Henry, Robertsdale; Arthur, Huntingdon; Homer, Cassville; Mrs. Adda Whitsel, Cassville; Mrs. Alma Geier, Robertsdale; Mrs. Martha Blair, Cassville. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters, as follows: James Parks, Mapleton Depot; Mrs. Belle Long, Cassville; Mrs. Henry Taylor, Altoona; and Mrs. William Watkin, Robertsdale.

A short prayer service will be held at the McClain Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock, followed by service at the Cornelius Chapel Church at 2:30 o'clock, in charge of the Rev, J.A. Wagner, pastor of the Cassville Methodist Church. Interment will be made in the Cornelius Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
