Services for Narvel Wayne Cox, 69, of Gilmer will be 2p.m.
Tuesday at Croley Funeral Home with the Revs. J. C. Henderson
and Joel Gibbons officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
He died Sunday at his residence.
Born Aug. 8, 1924, in Upshur County, he lived most of his life
in Upshur County.
He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard, and was a member of the
Pritchett Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Rose Hill Cox, who he married
Nov. 10, 1977; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Randy Burris
and Lisa and Tom Pat Tefteller, all of Gilmer; sisters, Gloria
Joyce Smith of Houston and Eva Nell Anderson of Gilmer; and five
grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-9p.m. today at the funeral home.
