Sarah Anna Carpenter was the daughter of John Lee Carpenter and Lou Vici Davis. She was the second child of nine born to the John and Lou. Only six, all daughters, survived to adulthood, Arrie A, Allie Myrtle who was my grandmother, Nola Martha Mae, Willie Opal, and Jessie Marie, who married Sam Otto Aston, brother to Carl.

Anna, as she was called, married Carl Allen Aston the 28th of July 1912 and was the mother of six children, three boys, Truett Hall, John Travis and Bennie Ray, and three girls Edith Ione, Wynona and Elsie Lou.

She left this world much too young at the age of 34.
