Bennie Ray was the son of Carl Allen Aston and Sarah Anna Carpenter. He was the sole survivor of seven children born to this couple; Truett Hall, Infant Son, Edith Ione, John Travis, Bennie Ray, Wynona and Elsie Lou.
Bennie served in the United States Air Force and was a B-17 Bomber crewman in WW II. He flew 24 missions over Germany. After the Air Force, Bennie worked as truck driver for 40 years on our nations highways, only retiring from work at the age of 82.
