She was the youngest of eleven children born to Roswell and Mary (Cook) Hopkins. She married 26 November 1795 to Nathaniel Rudd and was the mother of one son. She accompanied her husband to Rockton from Westfield, New York in 1841. They were members of the Congregational church.
