June 30, 1994 "Argus Observer"

Daisy Marie Cockeram, 83, of Vale died on June 28, 1994 at a hospital in Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lienkaemper Chapel with Rev. Jeanie Stoppel officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery in Vale. Daisy was born on January 8, 1911 in Promise City, Iowa, the daughter of Edgar Morris and Sarah Evelina (Davidson) White. In 1937, she moved to Veneta and, in 1957, moved to Vale with her father where she worked for Ore-Ida Foods until retiring. She married Lawrence Cockeram on June 21, 1992 in Vale. She was a member of United Methodist Church and Vale Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence, of the home; one sister, Evelyn Carmen of Mankato, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church or Vale Senior Citizens.
