She was born on March 19, 1916, in Verden, Oklahoma. She was the ninth child of Lena Schmitt Yoder and William Wesley Yoder, both deceased. New Mexico has been Mrs. Dane's home since the age of 12. After graduating from Texico High School in 1933, she married Robert Edward Hudson. Three children were born to this union, Howard, Leona and Bill Hudson. She was a member of Texico Baptist Church and very active with WMU. Her love for bowling left a room full of trophies.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters; 4 brothers; 3 husbands; 1 son, Howard L. Hudson and 1 grandson, Robert A. Judd.
She is survived by her son, Bill Hudson and wife, Ruth; daughter, Leona Winkler and husband, Ira and daughter-in-law, Katherine Hudson. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations be given to The Baptist Children's Home, P. O. Box 629, Portales, New Mexico, 88130.
