Funeral services will be held at 3 today, Thursday, in the McHenry Hall for Mrs. Maud Jenney, 80, who died Saturday in Lamont, Iowa. The Rev. A. O. Borlaug will officiate, and burial will be in the McHenry Cemetery.
Maud Waring was born March 4, 1880 in Lamont, Iowa. She came to Griggs County where she taught school and homesteaded in Rosendal Township. She was married to Ben Conant, who also had a homestead there and they farmed. He died in 1926.
In 1932 she returned to Lamont, where she later was married to Mr. Truman Jenney, who died about 15 years ago.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Austin (Florence) Anson, Masonville, Colorado and four sons, Warren Conant of McHenry, Lynn Conant of Tipton, Iowa, Glenn Conant of Lamont, Iowa, and Albert Conant.
