The Conqueror of All Takes Away Three Little Ones During the Past Week
On Sunday morning, Sept. 13, 1885 about 8 o'clock, Artie, son of E.M. and Genie Waring, aged 11 years and 21 days. Artie had been a cripple all his life and his parents feared he was going into consumption, but some three weeks ago he took what seemed to be the whooping cough. He was not so ill as to be confined to his bed and on Sunday morning rose, as usual, saying win answer to the inquiries of his parents, that he was better than on the day previous, and ten minutes before his death stood up alone and put on his under garments. His mother then finished dressing him and began bathing his feet, observing at the same time that the little fellow was perspiring quite freely. He answered her the first time she asked the question, but upon a second and third inquiry she received no answer and looking up she noticed that his eyes were half closed. She placed him on the bed, called his father and in a few moments he expired without pain. Hi weary little body is at rest and his should has taken its flight to realms of bliss.
