She came with her parents to Kansas in 1871. She was married December 25, 1873 to W.M. Stricker who departed this life November 30, 1896. To this union were born six children, one son and five daughters. The son died in infancy. The girls are Mrs. Nora E. Davis, Mrs. Josephine Merchant of this city, Mrs. Eva B. Clark of
Perkins Oklahoma, Mrs. Ethel Patterson of Summit, Oregon and Mrs. Mary E. Diggs off this city. She also leaves one sister , two brothers and one half brother. Mrs. Mary Clark of this city, Robert Fulton of Secan, Kansas, Sherman Fulton of Onaga, Kansas, Jesse Fulton of St. Marys, Kansas and a host of relatives and friends.
She was married to Amos Vance Jul. 5, 1911 who still survived her.
She united with the Christian Church at an early age and has been a faithful Christian worker to the time of her death. Her life was spent in doing good deeds where ever she was needed.
The funeral services were held at the Christian Church conducted by Rev. Wiles of Soldier Wednesday at 2pm
with internment in the city cemetery.
