MR. SHELTON

HARALSON, GA. -- Mr. Bluford T. Shelton, 75, of Haralson, died Saturday, October 10, at Humana Hospital in Newnan, Ga.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 12, at 2 p.m., at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Hogansville, Ga., with the Rev. Winston Harmon, Dr. Jimmy Brown and the Rev. Billy Ball officiatng. Burial will follow in the Shawmut Cemetery. Members of Veterans of Foreing Wars Post 2667 will serve as pallbearer and accord military rites at the graveside.

Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Shelton of Haralson, Ga.; his daughter, Mrs. Shirley Bishop of Senoia, Ga.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Janice Cook of Hogansville, Mrs. Elizabeth Reeves of Greenville, Ga, and Mrs. Hazel Dominick and Miss Lynn Rippy both of Newnan, Ga.; five stepsons, Walter Thompson of Senoia, Ga., Harold Thompson of Haralson, Ga., Aubrey Thompson of Columbus, Ga., James Rippy of Hogansville, Ga., and Charles Rippy of Palmetto, Ga.; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie King of Newnan, Ga., Mrs. Inez Caldwell of Luthersville, Ga., and Mrs. Hazel Barber and Mrs. Alma King both of Lanett; two brothers, E. J. Shelton of Luthersville, Ga., and William Shelton of Arnco, Ga.; and a number of grandchldren and great-grandchildren.

Born April 13, and a native of Heard county, Mr. Shelton was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the VFW Post 2667 in Newnan and a member of the Disable American Veterans. Mr. Shelton was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He was a retired road consturction supervisor.

Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville, Ga., is handling arrangements.
