William Grogan was born November 13, 1954 in Slayton, Minnesota to Clarence and Gena Rockstad Grogan. He grew up in Lake Wilson and graduated from Chandler-Lake Wilson High School in 1973. He and Lori Ludolph were married on August 26, 1978 at the First Presbyterian church in Pipestone, MN. They lived in Woodstock and then in Lake Wilson. They had a son, Tedd William Grogan. Bill worked for Johnson Ditching for many years before becoming disabled. Bill and Lori were divorced. In June 2003, he moved to Fargo, ND and passed away there on January 6, 2005 at the age of 50. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN. He served on the Lake Wilson Volunteer Fire Department. Bill enjoyed going to casinos, playing baseball, fishing, reading, and watching sports. Survivors include one son, Tedd Grogan of San Diego, CA; two brothers and their wives: Richard and Elaine Grogan of Lakeville, MN, and Dennis and Bonita Grogan of Abilene, TX, three sisters: Lois Gowler of Abilene, TX, Karen Giesel of Seattle, WA, Mary Lou and her husband Nate Riphenburg of Sussex, WI; one aunt, Fern Gunderson of Chandler, MN, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald Grogan. Memorial services were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 1:30 pm with the Rev. Jon Skaar officiating. The organist is Darlene Bose. Internment is at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson, MN.

William was cremated and his ashes are buried on his mother's (Jennie Matilda Rockstad Grogan) plot with no marker.
