Clarence Martin Grogan was born January 24, 1903 at Hatfield, MN to Charles and Lena Zimmerman Grogan, Sr. He grew up and attended rural school near Chandler, MN. On June 30, 1930 he was married to Jennie Rockstad of Crookston, MN. Following their marriage they first farmed near Hadley, MN then moved to Lake Wilson, MN in 1932 (diff to read) where they have lived since. For many years Mr. Grogan was employed by the Farmers Elev. & Lbr. Co. at Lake Wilson. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lake Wilson, MN He has been in failing health the last ten years and was a patient at the Murray County Memorial Hospital, Slayton, MN for two days, passing away there on November 14, 1975 at the age of 72 years. He is survived by his wife, Jennie, and six children: Lois, Mrs. Rufus Gowler, Jr. of Abilene, TX, Karen, Mrs. James Giesel of Gary, SD; Mary Lou, Mrs. Nathan Riphenburg, Jr. of Amory, WI, and William of Lake Wilson, MN. He has 14 grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sisters: Edna, Mrs. William Smith of Worthington, MN, Nick Grogan, Charles Grogan, Jr., Woodrow Grogan, Allan Grogan, all of Chandler, MN, and Fern, Mrs. Orville Gunderson of Lake Wilson, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Donald, who died in 1941. Funeral services were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lake Wilson, MN, November 17, 1975 at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Larry Houg officiating. Special music by Mrs. Dale Johnson and Mrs. Art Gnadt, Mrs. Frederick Carlson, Organist.
