OBITUARY:
Norma Southwell, 86, died at her Molalla home early Saturday morning on May 4. She was born in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Neb., Nov. 24, 1904 Walter & Grace Monroe Gatten.

In 1911, she moved with her family to Colorado. As the oldest of 13 children, she attended school in Colorado and in 1920 she met Glenn Southwell. They were married in Wray, Colo., Oct. 29, 1921. In 1940 they moved to Oregon, settling in Molalla where they have lived for over 50 years. Mrs. Southwell was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Molalla Methodist Church and AARP.

Survivors are her husband, Glenn; sons, Walter G. of Sun City West, Ariz:, Raymond E. of Sherwood, Allen of Aurora; daughters, Colleen Wolfer of Keizer, Dixie Sanders of Alaska, Norma Dee Robertson of Molalla, JoAnn Southwell of Wilsonville (2 sons deceased); a brother, Gifford Gatten of Bothel, Wash.; sisters, Deta Boyd of Prineville, Grace Long of Ronan, Montana, Doris Wickard of Renton, Wash., and Maxine Smith of Redlands, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 29 great
grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. May 8 in the Molalla Methodist Church with private interment in Zion Memorial Park Cemetery, Canby, Oregon. (Molalla Pioneer Newspaper, Clackamas, Oregon)
