She married Daniel Foster in Beloit, Wisconsin in 1864. They moved to St.Vrain, Weld, Colorado after their marriage. They had two children, Frank who died as a young boy and Emma who married Luke R. Murphy. Emma and Luke had a daughter, Myrtle. Mary is the sister of Emiline Ainsworth (Mrs. George Coffin) and Julie Ann Ainsworth (Mrs. David Swain)of Stillwater, Miinnesota. She has two brothers George and John who remained in Illinois Her sister Sarah Ellen married James Blair. They settled in Colorado.
