Lila Marc was born in Bonham, Texas, and moved to Dallas in 1922 where she entered the advertising business and established the first Welcome Wagon in the state of Texas. She was president of the Texas Women's Advertising Association, member of the Highland Park Methodist Church, Spiritual Life Leader, and a member and participant of the Dallas Little Theatre. Mrs. Taylor married Albert S. Taylor of Farmersville, Louisiana in 1922 and he preceded her in death in 1964. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Col. Robert H. and Betty J. Taylor of Austin, brother and sister-in-law Ben D. and Ursa Mae Taylor of Dallas, a granddaughter Lila Bess Nettles, grandsons Randy Worley and Miles Robert Collinson, all of Austin, and John Mike Chisum and Roland Chisum, both of Katy.
