Son of Squire Jennings and Mary Cook Jennings. There is some speculation that Squire may not have been his father. This will need more research. Some researchers feel that he is the son of David E Jennings and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown to me). I have no proof of the parentage.

He married Nancy M. Martin on January 20, 1870 in Ozark County, Missouri.

Census records indicate there were twelve children born to this union--two names unknown to me.
James Robert,
Eliza Jane,
Ann Elizabeth,
Martha Marie,
Mary Viola,
Chinicey D.,
William Fenton,
Benjamin Franklin,
Albert M.
and Josie Evaline.
