RUTH ARLENE WALTZ
Ruth Arlene Waltz, 55, of 5555 S.W. Ninth St. died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Canfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Waltz, a lifelong Des Moines resident, had been a certified nurse's aide at the former Commonwealth Care Center and was a member of Lee Town Assembly.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Riggs of Las Vegas, Nev.; five daughters, Sandra Jordan, Debbie Helm, Diann Matthews, Dixie VanDyke and Vickie Waltz, all of Des Moines; two brothers, Charles Snyder of Des Moines and Durward Snyder of West Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
