Services for Linnie Lingo, 79, of Elkhart will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bailey and Foster Chapel in Palestine with the Rev. Buddy Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. Mrs. Lingo died Tuesday morning, May 20, 2008 at a Tyler Hospital. She was born April 8, 1929 in Anderson County to Timothy and Rachael Cross Lawson.

Mrs. Lingo was a homemaker and a member of the Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Lingo is survived by her husband, Dewey Lingo of Elkhart; daughter, Jeannie Gayle Cutler and husband Dennis of Grapeland; three sons, Curtis Lingo, Michael Lingo and wife Elaina, and Robert Lingo, all of Elkhart; two sisters, Lora Borne of Irving and Cara Mae Hamby of Palestine; a brother, Henry Lawson of Elkhart; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
