Harry Linn Snyder, 82, of R.R. 2, Pleasanton, Ks., was born November 8, 1903, to John and Carrie May Breese Snyder in Stark County, Illinois. Linn and his family lived in South Dakota two years before moving to Prairie Home Community west of La Cygne in 1910. They later moved southwest of La Cygne and, in the 40's, moved to the farm in the Linnville Community. Linn attended the La Cygne High School until he was needed on the farm. He lived with his parents and cared for them. He was a good neighbor, always lending a helping hand where needed. Since July of 1982, Linn made his home in the Pleasant View Nursing Home, Pleasanton, Ks. Linn departed this life Feb. 15, 1986 at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, Ks. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Snyder and Oscar Snyder; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Burnett and Miss Edna May Snyder. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Marie Atwood, of Sun City, Ariz.; nephews and nieces; and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Mangold Chapel, with Rev. David L. Myers officiating. Rev. Myers sang "The Lord's Prayer: and "I've Done My Work," accompanied by Mrs. Elsie Keller. Pallbearers were: John Wolfinger, William D. Wolfinger, Darrel Nation, Bill McCoy, Otis Johnson, and Loy Moore. Interment was in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Mangold Funeral Home.
