CARTER, MRS. TROY

The former Irma Lee Alford,died in a New Orleans hospital at 12:05 am Saturday.
Born in St.Helena Parish June 1,1915, she was 42 years old and resided in Amite.
Survived by her husband Troy Carter of Amite:
her mother Mrs.Missouri Alford of Amite;
four daughters, Mrs.Tolar Day Smith of Baton Rouge;
Miss Ruby Lee Carter,
Miss Gloria Dell Carter,
and Miss Patsy Lou Carter, all of Amite.

Four sisters,
Mrs.Clyde Devane and Mrs.John Desmond, both of Amite,
and Mrs.E.R. Hooge and Mrs.E.W.Henry, both of Clinton.
Three brothers,
Percy Alford of Baton Rouge,
Eugene Alford of Port Allen,
and Clifton Alford of Clinton, and two grandsons.
The body will be at McNeely Funeral Home in Amite until 1:30 pm Sunday.
Religous services will be conducted by the Rev.Bradham at the New Zion Baptist Church at 2:30 pm Sunday.
Interment will follow at the Alford Family cemetery.
