Talitha Jane Risley was born the daughter of Silas Richard Risley & Matilda Bias. Her entire family was born and raised around Dugginsville, Missouri. Talitha had seven siblings; John M Risley, William Kelly Risley, George Newton Risley, Nancy Cordelia Risley, Charles Richard Risley, Silas Willis Risely, Benjamin Harrison Risely and Gideon Sidney Risley.

Miss Talitha Jane Risley's first marriage was with Sylvester Vaughn Fugate, she was the fourth wife for Sylvester, they married on 29 Mar 1895 at Dugginsville, Ozark, Missouri. She gave birth to eleven children with Sylvester: William McKinley (Mack) born 1896 at Missouri, Ruben born 1898 at Missouri, Velma born 1900 at Missouri, Elvis born abt 1903 at Missouri, Elva born 1904 at Missouri, Johnnie (female) born 1905 at Missouri, Claud born 1907 at Missouri, Jimmie B. (Jeff) born 1910 at Missouri, Opal Jo (Toni) born 1913 at Bristow, Creek, OK, Ova Vesta (Esther) born 1917, at Bristow, Creek, OK, Foy Mable born 1918 at Bristow, Creek, OK.

The family moved to Creek County Oklahoma by wagon in Aug 1910, as the story was told by son Jimmy B, known as Jeff who was 3 weeks old at the time they relocated. Sylvester passed away in Oct 1919 and Talitha took off leaving her young children behind to be raised by her older children and the step children from Sylvester's third marriage to Nettie.

Years later Talitha returned to her Bristow, Oklahoma family and lived out her final years being cared for by her family in the area. Talitha had remarried to George H Wykle on the 15 Oct 1924 at Jackson County Missouri, they had lived in Missouri and Arkansas where George passed away the 24 Aug 1943 at Little River, Arkansas. It was after this time Talitha returned to her family in Oklahoma.
