West M. Modesitt, retired farmer, died Sunday evening at the home at Cory of pneumonia, aged 70 years. The deceased was born in Perry township and was a son of Nathaniel Modesitt, an early settler of that part of the county. He is survived by the widow, two sons and a daughter. Harry, of Brazil; Leon of Staunton and Mrs. Mora Cade, of Patricksburg; also five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Thomas and Alex Modesitt of Cory. Funeral services will be held at the residence Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in Rhule cemetery.
