Funeral services of Humbert Bennett, 64, of 807 Glendale St., Benton, will be at 2 p.m. today at North Benton Baptist Church.


Mr. Bennett, a retired mechanic at Benton Consolidated High School, died at 7:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 1976, at Franklin Hospital in Benton.


He was born Sept. 4, 1911, in Benton to Charles and Lenoa Dillon Bennett. He was married to Elsie Whitlow, who survives. He was a member of North Benton Baptist Church.


Other survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann Bigham of Benton; a son, Charles W. Bennett of West Frankfort; four sisters, Eva Whittington of Union Grove, Wis., Marjorie Lewis of Benton, Faye Moore of Zeigler and Jewel Irby of Thompsonville; a brother Lowell of Akin and six grandchildren.


Burial will be in the Masonic and Oddfellow Cemetery in Benton. Friends may call prior to the service at Morton and Johnson Funeral home in Benton.
