Joseph Emmett Meagher, Jr., 83, passed away May 29, 2004 in Scottsburg, Ore. He was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Yakima, Wash. He was a graduate of Santa Maria High School Class of 1939. He served in the United States Navy from 1939 to 1946.
Joe is survived by his wife of 39 years, Amy Gray Meagher of Scottsburg, Ore.; daughter, JoEllen (Steven) Davidson of Berkeley, Calif.; grandsons, Ryan, Eric and Scott Davidson; stepchildren, Ernest (Joan) Franklin of New Hampshire and Vicky (Robert) Buiskool of Reedsport, Ore.; stepgrandchildren, Amber (Patrick) Murphy, Robert Buiskool, Brian and Keith Franklin; sister, Barbara Darby of San Jose, Calif.; brother, James Meagher of Santa Maria; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Ellen Doswell Meagher, brother Robert Meagher, sister Margaret "Mickey" Darby, and stepson Ronald Franklin.
