JOSEPH E. MEAGHER DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Joseph E. Meagher, 60, former Yakima resident, died last week in Santa Maria, Calif. where he has been a union official for the last 27 years. At the time of his death, he was secretary-treasurer and executive business agent for Local 865 of the Food Packers, Processors and Warehousemen. He also was president of the Central Labor council.

Mr. Meagher came to Yakima in 1907 from Wisconsin. He married the former Ellen Kirk (sic) in 1919. While in Yakima, he worked for several fruit packing firms.

Besides his wife, survivors include a brother, James T. Meagher, Auburn; three sons, Joseph Jr., Robert and James; two daughters, Mickey and Mrs. Barbara Ellen Darby,all of California, and a sister, Miss Margaret Frances Meagher, Seattle.

Husband of: Ellen Alice Doswell Meagher.
Children: Joseph Emmett Jr., Robert William, Barbara Ellen Meagher Darby, Margaret (Mickey) Frances Meagher Darby, and James Albert.
